How to Really Fix The Playstation 4 Auto Eject Disc Problem

How many of you have struggled with the issue where your Plastation 4 just randomly spits the disc out? Well you are not alone! If you don’t believe me just Google it and you will see just how many people are reaching out to find a solution to this problem. I have tried many of the fixes to remedy this problematic headache with little to no success. Well, I have discovered the true fix for this early Playstation design flaw.

Now first I want to explain to you very clearly this fix will void your warranty. As far as I know this is only a known issue with older models and its very likely that you no longer have a warranty on your system. This fix will not break your Playstation 4 and can be corrected if you find that you do no like the end results. This process will also disable your manual eject button, but since you can do this from the softwear, I don’t see how this is to much of an issue. I myself can count on one hand how many times I actually used the manual eject button and I have had this system for over 2 years.

So, lets get started. You will need three tools and about 10 min of your time to fix this issue. The tools required to fix this will be an X-Acto knife, T9 torx bit, and electrical tape. So now lets go step by step and walk you through this fix.

Step 1: Use the X-Acto knife to remove the 3 stickers covering the screws on the bottom panel of your Playstation 4. These are located on the back of the system disguised in the exhaust vents. You just want to get just under the edge of the sticker so you can peel them off. (Please be very careful not to cut yourself with the X-Acto knife)

Step 2: Use the T8 Torx bit or driver to remove the three screws that hold the bottom panel on the Playstation 4. These are very short and not in there very tight so it should not take much effort to remove them.

Step 3: Remove the bottom panel by lifting the end of the panel where the screws are located. The front works like a hing with the wedge shape. Once you have this off you can plainly see the offender of all your headaches. The issue is with the middle rubber foot putting pressure on the eject lever. The way this works is that the metal tab on the lever makes contact with a brass plate on the eject board. In theory this design is a great idea since you will not have a mechanical switch to wear out. But, it’s obviously flawed.

Step 4: You have two options here you can either break off the tab from the eject lever or the option I strongly suggest, is take a small piece of electrical tape and simply cover up the brass contact on the eject board. One reason I suggest this is so you can always remove the tape if it doesn’t fix the problem.

Step 5: Put your system back together by simply following steps 3 to 1 in reverse. And hopefully this will fix the problem and allow you to play your discs.

I hope this guide was helpful for you as it has been for me. Please feel free to leave comments or any suggestions. Also, let me know if it worked for you!

7 Days to Die: Taking A New Turn In Crafting Progression

Hey Survivalist! With all the new changes in Alpha 13 we are seeing a very different game since its pre-alpha launch over two years ago. Sitting at the focus of the latest version, one thing that has become progressively more challenging is crafting. Despite a few bugs, the system itself has added a new measure of challenge by leaving behind the Minecraft-style and adopting more of an MMO feel.

Before A-13 the latest addition was recipe books, teaching you how to craft rather than having you learn the hard way, then came skill points – but The Fun Pimps are not stopping there. With this patch, look forward to an all-new Forge system where you can load supplies and leave them to cook up new goodies. Thanks to some minor changes, you can let the forge do the work while you’re out battling hordes of flesh eating Zeds. Joel Huenink, aka “Mad Mole”, just shared with us on his Tumblr the “work bench” as well. Using the work bench will not require a recipe to build, but like the forge you will be able to load it up and leave your crafting while you’re out. Atop these changes, another nice treat in the picture below is a new baby cement mixer. Mad Mole didn’t give up too many details in his latest post but it’s great to see this awesome addition.
received_940853362616394

Historically in 7 Days to Die, each of these operations could take a considerably longer time to execute alone. Given the addition of some recent AI changes on the back-end, we’ll need to build up our fortresses faster and stronger than ever before, and with these new working changes in the 7 Days to Die Alpha, we might finally catch up to the 100th day of survival. Good luck out there.

As always you can head over to the official website at 7daystodie.com or continue to check back here at Nerd Interests for all your Zombie survival needs.
