Having released the official “debut” trailer this afternoon, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is officially ramping up for release this fall.
Set way ahead of our expectations for Black Ops as we mentioned in our first impression, Black Ops III will feature combat in the year 2065, just ahead of the storyline in Advanced Warfare. Using a visually muted version of the exo-suit we know from the Advanced Warfare series, augmentations to the human condition have become standard in Black Ops III and appear to make your characters host all of the abilities of the last Call of Duty title and more.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III will once again feature zombie-based multi-player, and characters will each have individual specializations, unlike in older Call of Duty titles. Notable game play mechanics in Black Ops III so far:
Perks may come faster in multi-player – 0:33; Minigun came straight out of the exo-suit. Bee-like items in the next frame, same call-up system.
Slide may rise over Dolphin Dive – 0:37.
Combat against AI/Robots prominent – 0:42.
Wall running – 1:08.
Exo-boost running, Knife replaced with punch – 1:10.
Jet-pack jump – 1:14.
With certainly more features to be announced ahead of the official launch, we can look forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops III on November 6th, 2015. Pre-ordering the title gains you “exclusive” access to the multi-player Beta test. Does Call of Duty feel fresh and fun this time around? Let us know in the comments below.
