If you’re in the mood for more Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel content, Gearbox Studios has your back. Releasing more content in the form of DLC late this month, get ready for a Claptastic Voyage on the 24th.
Developed by 2K Austrlia, news of a new Claptastic Voyage coming to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launched out of PAX East today, along with a few screenshots. Available to both Pre-Sequel owners and owners of The Handsome Collection, this DLC serves as a bridge between Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel and was not pre-written to the Handsome Collection disk – meaning you’ll have to download it manually.
This content download will feature a story arc where Handsome Jack is looking for a powerful, mysterious item that is apparently embedded into Claptrap’s source code. You’ll spend time in the mind of the Claptrap unit as a digital version of yourself doing battle among his “deepest recesses and furthest corners of Claptrap’s mind.” The DLC pack will include the “Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2”, allowing for 10 more levels to be earned – totaling up to level 70. With these levels characters will be able to assign 10 more skill points. The DLC rounds out as the fourth piece of DLC available in the $29.99 season pass, though those who haven’t got the pass can grab the DLC offering for $9.99 separately.
