As the first Doom title available on modern consoles, Bethesda Softworks will launch the ground breaking franchise in just under a year. Detailing the franchise’s future, here’s a look at what you can expect from Doom in the immediate future.

Coming out in “Spring 2016”, Doom will relaunch with no subtitle on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Officially outed last year with the release of Wolfenstein: The New Order with multiplayer Beta access for Doom, we’re well on our way to a final product. If you’re one of the many to upgrade from a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 this year, you can enjoy Beta access to Doom on your PS4 and Xbox One when it launches.

Dropping a few hints to the full campaign experience, Bethesda also detailed some of the single player today. Revealing one of the levels as being played out in Hell itself, Doom will traverse through fire and brimstone this time around. Facing off against familiar adversaries such as Pinkies and the Mancubus, we may well soil ourselves in fear this time next year. Fighting off the forces of evil with some tradition, we’ll combat with the double-barreled shotgun, a chainsaw and a rocket launcher.
