Hyrule Warriors is the Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors mash up for the Wii U that brings a fun new aspect to the land of Hyrule. A Japanese reveal trailer showed up today showing that Hyrule Warriors is coming to the 3DS with more playable characters and some content updates. You can check out the video here.
The video shows us a lot of new stuff coming to the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors and we are already excite to get our hands on it, but GameXplain took a deeper look into the reveal trailer and found something interesting.
That crossbow actually looks like it belongs to Linkle who is character in the Hyrule Warriors art book that got scrapped in the initial game. When the art book was released, Linkle received a lot of attention and caused Koei Tecmo to issue a tweet about the overwhelmingly positive response to her.

Translates to: “Linkle (tentative name) was a rejected story character featured in the art book, but it looks like she got a quite lot of attention… maybe we should have included her in the main story…”
The art book had also stated that she could have been Link’s younger sister. Others from NeoGAF suggest that she could also be Link’s daughter. For now it is only speculation, but based on the fan’s response and Koei Tecmo’s previous tweet, there is a good chance that she will be introduced into the Hyrule Warriors 3DS story. We’ll be excited to see that come true and find out her relation to Link.
