If you’re thinking to yourself, “What is this Classified armor, and how do I get it?”, you’re not alone.
After spending hours with your favorite character, racking up 800 kills, and completing a series of seemingly extraordinary tasks, only the most elite can pick up the “Classified” armor sets in Black Ops 3. Unlocking Classified armor sets in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 isn’t as difficult as it seems, though it is time consuming. Each character requires the same objective, despite the speculation that each Classified armor set requires you complete something you’ll never figure out.
No, you do not have to unlock everything with the Outrider to get the Classified armor. No, you don’t have to finish the Battery character to unlock another character’s gear. In order to unlock the OPPORTUNITY to get your Classified armors, you have to complete every objective for every character type in the game.
That’s right – you have to do everything. Kill 800 people with each character type first, then you’ll need to use each character’s special damaging ability to secure 30 kills. Afterward, switch to their more passive stance and get 20 kills while you’re using their respective special ability. Once you’re through unlocking 8 armor and helmet types, you’ll be able to compete for the final character armor BEFORE the classified gears.
Unlocking each helmet and leg/chest visual combination is similarly earned – get 2 double kills while using the passive ability and 3 double kills while using the active ability. Moving on from here, step to the next character type and get to it. Once all characters are complete, you’ll unlock the gold armor objectives that were once classified. These objectives are usually wild missions such as “Kill 6 people with your [special], six times.” This means that you’ll have to get 6 kills in a single match with only your special – then complete THAT feat 6 total times.
Picking up Gold “Classified” armors is certainly no easy feat in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It’s a mission for the elite, but if you’re up to the task, it can be quite rewarding.
