With a very heavy heat folks we here at PowerLeveled want to let you all know that the newest Silent Hill project is officially canceled.
The latest Silent hill title was announced last year in true Kojima fashion when a strange downloadable demo appeared on the Playstation network titled P.T. which later we discovered it to mean “playable teaser”. This truly hyped collaboration between film director Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima Metal Gear Solid designer staring Norman Reedus had many survival horror fans on the edge of their seats.
Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic ‘Silent Hills’ project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued. In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements. –Konami
Guillermo del Toro appears to have rotten luck with this being his second major game title to get the axe. His first in 2012 with the down fall of THQ, Insane probably in the top 10 worst named games. Rumors started flying about once the trouble had started between the Japanese publisher Konami and Hideo Kojima and Kojima announcing his departure on September 5th following the release of Metal Gear Solid V. This started the onslought of rumors that Silent Hill was not going to continue. This really heated up after the San Francisco Film Society event when Guillermo del Toro stated that the Kojima project was no longer his concern.
