If you’re excited about the coming sequel to Magicka, here’s some good news for you – it’s just a few weeks out.

Picking up four years after the original title launched, Magicka 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PC simultaneously on May 26th of this year. Published by Paradox Interactive, Magicka 2 is under new development as former creator Arrowhead has passed the torch this time around to Pieces Interactive.

Keeping in theme with the former Magicka title, this year’s sequel will still feature four player co-op play, as well as the always-on friendly fire. You can pick up the title on Steam for PC right now in Digital Deluxe and standard options as a pre-order, but Linux users will have to wait as the title is scheduled for a development port to Linux platforms later this year.
