Dark Souls III has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 12 in North America and Europe according to Bandai Namco. Along with this announcement came new footage of gameplay in the form of a trailer. If this footage holds up, the game will be gorgeous.

While we will be receiving it on April 12th, japan is beating us again as it will be experienced there weeks earlier on March 12th.

Relating back to the western release, Bandai Namco will be offering early-purchase editions. The Day One package, which includes the game, a guide, and the game’s soundtrack will be $59.99. The Collector’s Edition, which includes all of what is in the Day One package and an artbook, game map, collectible statue, and collector’s box, will be $129.99.

I’m excited to see if this one breaks the common pattern of third titles being not great.
