Available for sign-up right now on Battle.net, Overwatch has moved to closed Beta phase, quickly leaving Alpha testing for public play while adding two more characters to the mix.
Ready to step into the shooter environment, Blizzard’s foray into the genre takes a huge step today as Overwatch is now ready for players to get into the mix of the closed Beta test. With a quiet launch, Blizzard brought out two new characters to the table while changing sign-up options on the official website from Alpha to Beta testing. Now featuring a “Tank” and “Offense” character ready to hit the field, those who sign-up and play in Overwatch can enjoy beefy bad-ass female Zarya in a tank role. If playing a tank isn’t your jam, new character McCree is a self proclaimed “BAMF” – it says so right on his belt buckle and he’s built for offensive players.
For the uninitiated, Overwatch is a team-based shooter that takes itself about as seriously as Team Fortress, but with considerably more variety in character selection. With the same level of diversity in character selection as in a MOBA title but the intensity of a FPS, this first-person title speaks for itself in Blizzard’s official trailer just below.
Those interested in Overwatch can sign up on the official website linked above. For more news on Overwatch and other Blizzard titles, keep connected right here on PowerLeveled because Blizzard has been busy today, and you won’t want to miss a thing.
