This reboot of the original title, starring NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, was shown last night at the Game Awards. Its IndieGogo campaign met its $450K USD minimum and with that, developer Big Deez is being given a chance to undo the problems that lead to the games original 1994 flop. While the teaser gives fans an idea of what the game will look like, it is ultimately unclear what major elements of the game will play like thus far.
The game will continue to play like a side-scrolling beat-em-up and looks to replace the sprites of the NES version with a cross-processed and cartoon-ish visual feel. The game will likely be shooting for the absurd action/comedy that Farcry: Blood Dragon succeeded in but judging by this small look, fans just might be disappointed, if that’s what they’re hoping for.
